Engineer, Pleasant Hill, CA

We are currently looking for an Engineer who is dynamic and motivated to work in the Pleasant Hill office.

The ideal candidate will have an educational background in environmental, chemical or civil engineering or related studies, and a minimum of five years environmental consulting experience in chlorinated and petroleum related contamination. This position requires experience designing, operating, and optimizing groundwater and soil remediation systems.

What you get to do:
Provide engineering support with special emphasis on investigation and remediation.

  • Client and regulatory interaction.
  • Develop strategies to optimize soil and groundwater remediation systems.
  • Manage and oversee engineering aspects of projects, including day to day operation of remediation systems and compliance with permit requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop work scopes and budgets for soil and groundwater remediation projects.
  • Manage field personnel, including subcontractors and internal staff. Assure project quality, budget, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Prepare reports and deliverables, including work plans, design drawings, and related environmental documents.

Other Duties:

  • Identify and develop methods and processes to improve group efficiency and/or client satisfaction.
  • Identify and stay current with technical and regulatory developments in the industry.

What we are looking for:

  • BS/BA in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
  • 5 - 7 years in industry with emphasis on contaminant investigation and remediation design, installation and operation.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-hour Refresher.
  • EIT certification with ability to obtain Professional Engineering registration within two years.
  • Must be able to speak and write clearly and concisely in the English language.
  • Must possess a valid drivers' license and own vehicle.
