Health & Safety Professional, Pleasant Hill or Thousand Oaks,CA

We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Professional that is dynamic and motivated to work at either our Pleasant Hill (East Bay) or Thousand Oaks office.     

The ideal candidate will have an educational background in industrial hygiene or related studies; three to five years of safety management experience, including familiarity with safety program administration. Completion of 40-Hour OSHA training is also required.

What you get to do:
As an integral part of the corporate team you will be responsible for supporting all SGI offices to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety regulations, providing health and safety oversight of various environmental assessment and remediation activities, preparing safety related data tables and written reports, as well as providing superior consulting services and customer support. Other job duties include;

• Understand and maintain conformance with SGI’s and client's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Provide oversight for SGI’s health and safety program.
• Prepare and review Health and Safety Plans.
• Conduct health and safety audits of field activities.
• Coordinate with each office to provide safety training.
• Manage SGI and client required health and safety databases.
• Prepare State and Federal OSHA documentation and submittal as appropriate.

What we are looking for:

• BS in Industrial Hygiene or related studies.
• Three to Five years experience in safety management.
• Must be honest, reliable, resourceful and motivated.
• Must be able to speak and write clearly and concisely in the English language.
• Must possess a valid drivers' license and own a vehicle.
